Reviewers and labs we track
Our measured data comes from these sources. We record the number and link to the test; we never reproduce their reviews. 21 of 49 air purifiers currently carry at least one independent measurement.
| Source | What they measure |
|---|---|
| AHAM Verifide Directory | Certified smoke, dust and pollen CADR and suggested room size for every listed model. |
| HouseFresh | Measured time to clean a sealed test room, noise meter readings, power draw. |
| Consumer Reports | Lab ratings for smoke and dust removal at low and high speed, noise, energy cost (paywalled; we cite rank only). |
| Wirecutter | Particle-counter tests in a real room at multiple speeds. |
| Smart Air | Independent CADR and filter-efficiency testing, published data. |
